Praying doesn't matter
when you don't have anything together.
Believing makes me strong but
when will I stop getting hurt?
Feeling like you're dying
while you lay your head to rest.
Feeling like you failed trying
while you did your very best.
Praying doesn't always add up
when you want the pain to stop.
Believing makes it all worse
when will He take evil to court?
Feeling like you're going mad
while you laid down your pride.
Feeling like you failed, so sad,
while you're still in the fight.
You're alive
and even when you die,
you'll always be His kid,
even when this is it.
